Rangers Take Bite Out of Wolves
The Kitchener Jr Rangers MD Blue team continue to produce big time offence with a 5 to 2 win over the Waterloo Wolves Black team.

Evan Peori led the pack with two goals and was a work horse all game. Peori’s first goal was set by Kodi Blackshaw on the powerplay and his second was assisted by the Player of The Game award winner, Noah Roden.

Noah Park blasted one home from the point to open the scoring for the Rangers and his goal was set up by Ethan Lafluer on the powerplay. Ryan McConnell won a wall battle and made a smart play to get the puck to Kailum Belanic for the games second goal. Jake Masters also registered an assist on the goal that broke a 1 to 1 tie and had the Rangers never looking back.

Jacob Reid-Brant had an empty netter goal and it was well deserved. Reid-Brant was dangling all game and dominated play for the Rangers. His line mate, Aydan Costello, was equally as brilliant and had a strong game. Connor Coughlin drew three penalties for working hard and Spencer Bulyaki cycled the puck all game.

Keenan Hack played another strong game along side Connor Pinos and Andrew Bishop was a warrior yet again for the Rangers who held the Wolves to 12 shots with stellar defense.

Hayden Smith was spectacular for the Rangers and made some extremely fast kick saves in close to help the Rangers hold the lead late in the game. Smith was in a groove stopping anything he could see.

The Rangers have tightened up their play and increased their intensity over the past three games and will need to play even better when they face their rivals on the Red team in a rare weekday game next week.

Go Rangers!
