Rangers Storm Back
The Kitchener Jr Rangers MD Blue team shocked the MD Red team by storming back to tie the game 3 to 3 with three unanswered third period goals.

With the Rangers trailing the game by 3 to 1 with 1:25 remaining the Blue coaches pulled the goalie for the extra attacker and it paid off. Jacob Reid-Brant scored back to back in the third period. His first goal came with 4:09 left from Aydan Costello and Ethan Lafleur. His second, at 1:25, was unassisted. Noah Park and Connor Coughlin set up the tying goal by Evan Peori with only 3.3 seconds left in regulation.

The Player of the Game Award went to Rangers goalie, Aiden Radatus, who made key saves throughout the game and did a fantastic job battling for loose pucks and moving side to side tracking the puck.

All the Ranger defenders were outstanding. Andrew Bishop, Connor Pinos, Keenan Hack, Kailum Belainc and Kodi Blackshaw played hard minutes and boxed players out very well. The forwards also did a great job helping in the defensive zone. Noah Roden and Jack Masters won board battles all game. Spencer Bulyaki and Tyler Kramp were both impressive cycling the puck and playing smart positional hockey.

By all accounts the Rangers played an impressive and entertaining game against a terrific opponent. If the Rangers can put together they same effort and intensity they exhibited in the third period for an entire 60 minutes the team could be serious contenders.

The Rangers now have a couple days off before they start preparing for St. Catherine’s next weekend.

Go Rangers!
