Rangers Unleash on Huskies
The Kitchener Jr Rangers MD Blue team took some time to find their legs but poured it on when they did in a 5 to 1 win over the Hamilton Huskies White.

Connor Coughlin and Jacob Reid-Brant led the way for the Rangers. Coughlin recorded 4 assists in the game and Reid-Brant had a hat trick for the Rangers. Coughlin had an assist on all the Reid-Brant goals and Kodi Blackshaw also had an assist on the first goal.

Aiden Radatus filled in for Hayden Smith, unavailable due to illness, and made some key saves for the Rangers until they were able to find their game. Meghan Wright dressed in support of Radatus.

Evan Peori scored from Ethan Lafleur and the Player of the Game, Carter Schade, had a beautiful goal from Coughlin and Jack Masters.

Spencer Bulyaki played center for the Rangers and continued his impressive defensive zone coverage. The Rangers had some hard-working forwards with Aydan Costello and Keenan Hack all over the ice creating opportunities.

Defensively the Rangers put the Huskies in a strangle hold as the game wore on. Connor Pinos made some excellent regroups, as did Noah Park, and both players were strong in the corners as well. Andrew Bishop played a strong game and did an excellent job boxing out front and winning battles for his team.

Another player who was ready to battle was Noah Roden. Roden was strong holding the line and instrumental in the tying goal. Kailum Belanic was another player who stepped up his game and was a threat all night off the rush and in the neutral zone.

Next up the Rangers will face the league leading Waterloo Wolves White. A win against them would put the Rangers in position to finish in first place in the league before tiering. An accomplishment the team has focused on achieving since day one!

Go Rangers!
