Rangers Hard Work Paying Off
The Kitchener Jr Rangers MD Blue continued to play that hard-working blue-collar type of team game that they need to run with to be successful in a scoreless tie with the rival Red team Sunday.

Hayden Smith earned the Player of the Game Award with a confidence boosting performance. Smith made key saves when he was called on and was a big part of the win, keeping the Rangers skaters calm and motivated.

The Rangers knew they needed gutsy efforts from their speedster forwards and guys like Aydan Costello, Carter Schade, Evan Peori and Jack Masters stepped up for the team.

Other forwards like Ethan Peori, Spencer Bulyaki and Noah Roden continued to play hard and be defensive masters for the team. Jacob Reid-Brant and Connor Coughlin created a lot of scoring chances and showed off an excellent cycle game but sadly didn’t capitalize.

The forwards did a great job supporting the defense and Andrew Bishop and Kodi Blackshaw protected Smith well all game. Keenan Hack got under the Red players skin with his none stop hard-working game. Kailum Belanic and Noah Park were extremely effective in winning battles and moving the puck as Connor Pinos was reliable and smart on the ice for the Rangers.

The Rangers coaches were once again pleased with their players effort and commitment to playing a complete game. With continued hard work in practices the team will continue to show an upward swing and climb in the playoff standings in preparation for the play downs.

Go Rangers!
