Rangers Tie Bitter Sweet
The Kitchener Jr Rangers MD Blue team continued to climb in the standing despite giving the Waterloo Wolves Black a point in a 2 to 2 tie Sunday evening.

The bitter part of the tie for the Rangers was they lost an important point that would have placed them in 2nd place. However, the sweet part was the tie allowed them to hold onto 3rd place and sit only a point behind Black for 2nd place. The Rangers have their eye on a 2nd place finish so they can hold home ice come play downs.

Hayden Smith was the Player of the Game for the Rangers after making a huge save in the dying minutes on a breakaway. Smith was solid all game for the Rangers.

Connor Coughlin continued his amazing weekend of goal scoring with his 4th goal of the weekend. Coughlin scored on the power play from Jacob Reid-Brant and Jack Masters. Evan Peori opened the scoring for the Rangers from Noah Roden and Carter Schade.

Ryan McConnell was called up and did not disappoint. McConnell immediately bought into the teams systems and worked hard with Spencer Bulyaki and Aydan Costello to create scoring chances.

On the back end, Connor Pinos was yet again one of the Rangers top defenders and worked really well with Keenan Hack. Andrew Bishop and Kailum Belainc put in a solid game as well and Kodi Blackshaw and Noah Park helped create offense early in the game by working the puck deep.

The standings are extremely close and each games importance will grow as the teams jockey for positioning from here on out. The Rangers will keep working hard to establish a complete game executing the teams game plan.

Keep working hard, Rangers!
