The
Kitchener Lady Rangers Midget “A’s” travelled “south” for a late Sunday night
game with the Roadrunners.
First period play saw both teams playing good hockey on the big ice. Mid way through the second the Roadrunners opened the scoring in a "melee" poking for the puck and our #1 on her back (I believe we have discussed the bowling concept). The third period saw the penalty boxes well used on both sides. The ladies were able to tie the game at 1 with just under two minutes remaining. Unfortunately, games are a full “42” minutes in length and the Roadrunners notched the “W”, scoring the winner just 25 seconds later.
A much better effort this game against the Roadrunners than the last. However time spent in the box and practices with only 10 and 11 skaters will not help your cause. Hockey remains a team sport and we need everyone’s efforts if we are going to be successful.
