Kitchener 4-3 win over Vaughan game 1 .... two well matched teams battled for 35 mins. It was a battle of the goalies and who wanted it more... the boys gave it their all and battled to keep the win. Way to go guys game 1 in the books.
Kitchener 4-1 win over Don Mills game 2 .... the boys were pumped up and ready to go we skated fast passed the puck and were all over them. They gave us a run for our money a very tough team to keep down but we were able to keep the pressure on and win #2.
Kitchener 3-1 win over Thornhill game 3.... told the boys before we went out... this is Thornhill's game they were at home resting in their beds relaxing normal routine while we were in a hotel routine disrupted...but we had Team unity and bonding all day Friday and I told the guys nothing can beat that so go out there and show them who rules the rink. They came out all fired up and ready to win and did so... passing was on shots were at the net and they went in. Great work to take 1st and off to the semis.
Kitchener 2-1 win over Vaughan Semis (game 4) ... Two Great teams again battling for the win. A goaltenders battle once again and it showed no scoring in the first or second periods. it came down to the third and Vaughan scored... the Kitchener team was shocked the bench staff then pumped the boys up and we popped 2 in shortly after that... just go to show you.... battle hard all game skate, pass, protect the net and take as many shots on the opponents goalie and you will be victorious... nice hard fought give it your all game and win.
Kitchener 2-3 OT loss against Burlington in the Finals (Game 5) Two of the best teams battling again. Great back and forth action all game from both teams. Lots of passing lots of shots lots of great saves teams were up and down that ice so many times i thought we would have to flood between the 2nd and 3rd the ice was getting used up so much. both teams exhausted at the end of the 3rd period and the score was 2-2 OT here we come. Bench staff pumping up the guys... Coach's trying to pair the 3 on 3 line switching then switching back but in the end the boys played their best gave it their all everything was left on the table and came up short. EXCELLENT Game guys Keep your heads held high Very Very Great tournament and Excellent playing everyone.
