Rangers Storm the Thunder
Game Captain Owen Stewart led the Rangers Red onto the ice to face the Halton Hills Thunder.

The Rangers Red made it a 3-0 road trip with a barrage of goals against the Thunder of Halton Hills!

Good communication, great puck movement, and a full team effort were keys to the Rangers success in this match up.  The first period saw the Rangers generate an abundance of chances off the rush which created a lot of offensive zone time and chances.  The ice breaker was scored by Sam Clark on an unassisted goal with a great individual effort while shorthanded.

The 2nd period saw the Rangers take advantage of some powerplay chances being patient and moving the puck around the zone to look for open shots.  Brock Smith scored back to back goals a few minutes apart with the first assisted by Tyler Andrews and Tyler Kramp.  Just before the end of the 2nd Clark scored his 2nd of the game with a howitzer under the bar to give the Rangers a 4-0 lead heading into the final frame.

The third period the Rangers exploded for 6 goals to put the game away.  Joel Guse started things off with his first of the season assisted by Brody Voll.  Sean Disbrow scored back to back goals with assists going to Joel Guse and Spencer McCormick.  Shortly after Brock Smith completed his hat trick on feeds from Noah Raymond and Tyler Kramp.  With just over a minute to play some more hats were about to be thrown when Sam Clark completed his own hat trick on the night.  To cap things off Spencer McCormick ended the night with a goal assisted by Disbrow and MacPherson.

Max Thompson though not tested often in this game stayed sharp and was a rock when needed in net to earn his 2nd shutout of the season.  Noah Raymond took home the Workhorse of the game for his great two way play and puck movement in the offensive zone.

Next up the Rangers return home to the confines of Activa Sportsplex to take on the Center Wellington Selects.  The coaching staff was very impressed over the course of this road trip on how the boys moved the puck in all 3 zones and outworked their opponents which led to scoring opportunities.
