Rangers Remain Perfect
The Kitchener Jr Rangers Select Blue team continued to focus on their team defense and shut the door on the Chedoke Express 4 to 0 Friday night.

The Player of the Game Award winner, Braeden Buck, saved some of his best hockey of the season when his team needed it most with a pair of goals.

The Rangers have preached strong defensive zone play all season and in appears to be paying off. However, had it not been for key saves at key times by Zackery Wick it could have been a different story.

Buck opened the scoring from Michael Rogoz and Dezi Deneau on the powerplay. Buck had his second of the game from Evan Skipp and Tyler Oude-Voshaar. Michael Rogoz scored from Freddie Law and Buck and Shawn Parliament continued his hot play with a goal from Will Halter and Oude-Voshaar.

Once again, the Rangers had a solid back checking game from the likes of Jacob Ancich and his line mates, Ryan McConnell and Brett Herniman.

Logan Hock was a stand out with his solid defensive work and the Rangers showed a lot of speed from Ethan Shular, Colin Starr and Rashaun Williamson which created scoring chances.

It was perhaps not the Rangers strongest ame of the season, but good teams find ways to win and that’s exactly what the Rangers did. Credit to the players for remaining focused and fighting through their slow start.

Up next the Rangers will play the rival Waterloo Wolves and the game could determine who plays who in the semis. The Rangers will need to bring their game they showed in game 1 and be ready to battle so they can ride into the semi finals as the top seed and control their own destiny.

Go Rangers!
