Mid-Season Recap
December 22 ended regular season play for the PeeWee MD blue. Through 20 regular season games the team finished with a much deserved 3rd place finish.
The team battled hard through out the regular season which saw us compete in 2 highly competitive tournaments as well.
A shoot out loss in the semifinals in Cambridge tournament was a tough pill to swallow, but we showed that we would not be defined by our losses. 3 straight league victories lead us to our next challenge the Guelph Powerplay tournament. We did not let a 4th place finish in pool play derail our ambition of getting to the finals. Where we took out the number 1 seed in the semi-finals for their first loss of the tournament. In the finals we would take on a game Clarington Toro's, the game was back and fourth affair but ultimately saw us fall 3-1. Although a heartbreaking loss the team was reassured that better days were ahead.
As January approaches we go into the 3rd quarter of our season with 2 goals one to show well in the London tournament, and secondly to make the play downs. With the determination and the grit the team has demonstrated nothing is unattainable. We will keep defying expectations through hard work, ambition and friendship.
