North London Tournament Weekend
Game #1, Friday morning was a game to work on offensive plays, passing and goal scoring attempts, Thornhill kept working extremely hard for three periods but our quality was superior from the opening puck drop.
Game #2, A dominant defensive performance against a very skilled and fast Nationals team, dealt with the Nationals offensive pressure and turned those opportunities into goal scoring chances for us with four very good goals.
Game #3, An end to end game against the Nationals Blue team that worked tirelessly for three periods, the boys out worked and took the chances they needed to finish the game off, another very good defensive performance.
Game #4, the semi-finals saw a Woodstock team that shocked the boys in the first period with how hard they came out to play and were the better team for a period and a half, the third period the boys came out to play and out worked Woodstock for the entire period with some great offensive plays which led to some great goals to send them to the finals.
Game #5, the finals saw a back and forth game with a Nationals team that wanted revenge for Friday afternoon, both teams had great opportunities, a great game, with the victory going to the Nationals and well deserved with not only winning the tournament but giving us our first loss of the season.
Silver medal to the boys and a fun weekend all round.
