The coaching staff, team, and parents would like to thank Barrie for putting on one great tournament.  Congratulations Rangers for taking the Championship game.

The coaching staff is very proud of the team for a great tournament.  We did notice some minor problems on the way the team was playing right before Barrie and after the second game we changed up the lines to try to shake up the players and eliminate the problems before they got worse.  It seemed to work the team became stronger and the player intensity increased back to the way it was at the beginning of the season.

The round-robin games were great to watch each team we played were very competitive and gave us a run for our money.  The teams togetherness was the key in our hard fast playing.

The semi finals wow what can I say Barrie was playing hard ... both teams were not letting anyone score.  Both goalies were playing very well.  Again a tie in the third period with only minutes left we called a time out.  Troy did his thing I talked to the goalie stating we are not going into OT his semi.  I also told the bench with one minute left that we are not going to go into OT and with 16 seconds left in the period we scored!.

The final game George Bell who beat us in the round-robin played a good game but the Rangers came out looking for revenge and to put the game away fast.  With a 3-0 lead going into the 3rd period it was not as comfortable as we wanted it but our hard play and pressure in their zone was making it hard for George Bell to score.  Great final game and great plays by our Rangers way to go with the win.
