Rangers Take Bite Out of Bulldogs
Submitted By Dave Horne on Saturday, October 5, 2019
The Kitchener Jr Rangers MD Red team continued their winning ways with a hard fought 2 to 1 win over the Burlington Bulldogs White Saturday night.

Owen Neomytka had to be on top of his game and made some tremendous saves late in the third period for the Rangers and allowed the team time to get him a lead. Neomytka made 20 saves pacing the Rangers this evening. The Rangers hit their target in the shots for category firing 40 shots towards the impressive Bulldogs goalie.

Caleb Cumming had a pair of goals for the Rangers. Cumming displayed both speed and hockey smarts all game and was a standout for the Rangers. Both of Cumming’s goals were set up by Connor Coughlin and Jacob Reid-Brant.

Logan Duke remained sidelined for the Rangers and Sam Clark was called up to play in his place. Clark played well and drove the net hard for the Rangers. Denver Heiman returned to action and played well with Jake Fisher and Evan Peori. Stephen Peppas battled hard all game and showed good chemistry with Quinten Earle, having a few nice gives and go plays.

Josh McDonald and Toby Pryce showed continued chemistry and overall the whole defense was rock solid. Matt Gallants speed plays well with the steady game of Kodi Blackshaw and Noah Park and Chad Morris keep gelling more and more which is great for the Rangers goalies.

Although the Rangers got off a lot of shots the team needs to keep playing that meat and potato game and make it harder on teams. The Rangers coaches believe this will be the case Sunday afternoon as they host the Brantford 99ers.

Go Rangers!
