Rangers Howl Over Wolves
The Kitchener Jr Rangers MD Red team continued to roll with a strong offensive punch with a 7 to 1 win over the Waterloo Wolves White Friday night.

Logan Duke recorded a natural hattrick in the third period and did a great job keeping his head in the game despite being mauled at times by the Wolves. Duke’s first goal was an absolute beauty which set up by Toby Pryce and Noah Park. Then Duke was set up from Caleb Cumming and Pryce before getting his third from Josh McDonald and Kodi Blackshaw on the powerplay.

Cumming opened the scoring for the Rangers from McDonald. Jacob Reid-Brant had back to back goals with his first being set up from Connor Coughlin and Pryce and his second from Cumming and Coughlin. Evan Peori had a beauty from a nice Denver Heiman feed with Coughlin getting an apple on that goal as well.

Owen Neomytka was sharp in net for the Rangers. Particularly early on making a nifty kick save and later in the game flashing the glove to frustrate the boys from Waterloo.

Defensively, the Rangers moved the puck very well and Chad Morris was a leader in the defensive zone. With Matt Gallant out all the defenders had to put in extra minutes.

It was the same situation with the forwards because Stephen Peppas was missing in action as well. The Rangers replied on strong play from Quinten Earle and Jake Fisher to wear down the Wolves and keep them on their toes. Both Fisher and Earle were absolutely dominant on the penalty kill and although neither found the scoresheet, they were always in the thick of things and created time and space for their teammates, something that doesn't go unnoticed by the coaching staff.

Next up the Rangers make the long haul to Sarnia as they look to close out play on the Thanksgiving weekend with another big win.

Go Rangers!
