2004 Graduation Night
Closure for a special period of a TEAMMATES lives together.
These are the years they will remember. Good hockey...good friends...good fun.
It was emotional. A part of you all will be sad that your minor hockey time is coming to an end, but I'm sure you would not trade that feeling for anything in the world.
There is such joy behind this sadness that makes it all worthwhile as a coach. As you all make your way through the next chapter of their life, I know you all will have so many memories to look back on and so many lifelong friendships to cherish. I am so proud to be part of the journey even if it was for 2 years.
We still have some unfinished work ahead as we approach the playoffs, but was nice to honour the 10 graduating 2004's as they close out their minor hockeys days as Rangers.
To you parents, I know you wouldn’t trade the hundreds of hours spent in the rink and in the car. You and your boys will leave the game of minor hockey this year, but the game will always be a part of your family. I am a big believer in honoring the past, it is the best way to prepare for the future.
