The coaching staff had to have some Sunday afternoon naps as
the ladies faced the Ravens (1182) in a late Sunday night game in Waterloo.
Coming off a lack luster performance the night before, the Lady Rangers came out hard in the first and capitalized on two of their many shots on goal. While some shots might not be highlight reel ones, the lesson learned is that “any shot on net” is a good shot. Continued strong play in the second had the ladies up three heading into the break.
Watching from the bench and understanding what is being thrown at you will help your on-ice play. A solid third with continued good execution of our “practice drills” (why do we practice?) gave the ladies their first “W” of the season.
We know the pace was different but there was a much better effort put forward by many over Saturday’s game. We hope everyone makes the commitment to come and play hard every night. Your “W” was well earned.
