Away with the Wild
The Kitchener Lady Rangers travelled to Woolwich for a rare Sunday evening game against the Wild.

Off to a slower start in the first, the ladies were out shot and out scored during the first twelve minutes. A flurry of activity over a minute and three seconds in the “second” would see not one, not two but three goals scored in what you could describe as some power “offence” or a lack of “defense”. Both Lady Rangers goals came off great second effort rebounds and had the game tied going into the break.  A solid third period of play was unfortunately overshadowed by some defensive coverage lapses during the opening two and a half minutes and the ladies came away with their second “L” of the season against the Wild.

Knowing your assignments (F3, F3, F3), trusting your teammates, and remembering to NOT run around will help tighten up your play against good teams. As you did yesterday, tonight you again executed many of our systems of play that afforded you several great scoring opportunities. We will continue to build on your foundation going forward and challenge you to continue to make these good “choices and options” every shift that you are on the ice.

Today’s final Truth of our 11 Simple Truths for Success On and Off the Ice ….

Failure is part of the process.

Accept it.

Learn from it.

Move on.
