Roadrunner Wednesday
Playing the last “Practice Ice Games”, the Lady Rangers faced the Cambridge Roadrunners at home Wednesday evening.

The ladies started with their strongest first period of play yet having the first eight shots on goal. A low shot rebound had the ladies up by one early. A great power play opportunity with several smart choices and options provided the ladies with their highest number of shots in a period to date. With just their third shot on goal (and on I’m sure one our goalie would like to have back) the Roadrunners tied the game with just 22.7 seconds left in the first. The record number of shots continued in the second period however mere seconds into the second penalty kill of the game (and giving up three consecutive in close shots) Cambridge would capitalize on what would be the game winning goal.

We hope you enjoyed playing in a game that was such an exciting game to watch. You supported each other, worked on several options, found the “dot”, got out “right-away” and played what was probably your most complete game of the season. We are sincerely proud of all of you for continuing to play the game the way it is meant to be played. Taking “pride” in what ever you do in life is an incredibility important thing, especially when there are no medals or championships on the line.
