Game 3 Recap
Game #3: Saturday November 5th   Eagles VS Admirals

WOOOOHOOOO!!!
What a Game!!!

Earlier in the week, the Eagles had two new faces join the team.  #31 Massecar was the Eagles newly appointed permanent goalie.  And #91 Carter Banton was a late but very welcome arrival, as the Eagles had been a man down up to that point.

There was a feeling of excitement and nervousness in the air.  Maybe it was the excitement of new team-mates or the nervousness of different faces in new positions.  Maybe it was nervousness about facing the Admirals or the excitement of possibly taking the winning streak lead.  But, maybe it was just knowing the clocks were going back and there’d be an extra hour for video gaming when they all got home.  Either way, the boys were motivated and had the right amount of nervousness and excitement for there to be one heck of a thrilling game!!

The Eagles hit the ice, (lead by their new goalie) looking energetic and strong.  Unlike the previous game, the Eagles had a full bench, which was going to be needed for going up against the Admirals, who, as already mentioned, were sporting a 2-0 record as well.

The GoalsThe Admirals came out strong with the first goal of the evening.  About 2 minutes later, #10 Pittaway scored, assisted by #66 Nanuti, bringing the game to a tie.  #14 Gavin scored the Eagles second goal, assisted by #9 Hancock, putting us in the lead, to finish out the first period.  For the rest of the game the Eagles held onto their lead, with goals by #66 Nanuti, assisted by #77 Godfrey and our last goal scored by #14 Gavin, assisted by #91 Banton.

The PenaltiesAs fast as the goals were flowing, so were the alternating penalties.  As the Admirals served 2 penalties, so did the Eagles.  #14 Gavin for holding & #9 Hancock for Cross Checking.

The WINWhat can you say… It was sweet!  This was a stand on your feet kinda suspenseful game.  I may have even lost a fingernail or two.  But in the end, there can only be one winner, and the Eagles earned it!!

Final Score: 4-3 Eagles

Later in the locker room #15 Peplow was awarded The Player of the Game Pylon for his outstanding play.  Some great passes and good back checking rounded out his game.
