**Please watch for an email coming out (Sunday) to let you know what tryout session to attend**

Please make sure your athlete is registered for tryouts on RAMP prior to arrival.

Each athlete will be guaranteed 3 tryouts. After the 3rd tryout on September 14th, we will make our first round of releases, which will be done online. Our second round of releases will be done after our 5th tryout on September 16th, and they will also be done online. After our final tryout on September 18th, we will make our last and final releases, and they will be done in-person immediately following the tryout at the arena.  More information to follow regarding the location for the coaches to meet with players.

During the tryout process, the coaches and evaluators will be looking for the following from each athlete-Effort, Skill, Attitude, Work Ethic and Leadership. Here are some things to keep in mind during tryouts:

-Be prepared. Make sure you have all your gear packed, your ready to go when your ice time starts and hit the ice hard. Ask questions if you don't understand a drill. If your still not sure if you know how to do the drill, step back to the 3rd or 4th spot in line and watch the players in front of you skate the drill so your ready when its your turn.
-Effort. Go hard at each drill. If the coaches want you skate hard until the blue line, go hard until the blue line. Don't ease up until your done the drill. If you make a mistake, don't quit on the drill. Grab another puck and keep going.
-Leadership. Step up and lead a drill if you know what drill it is. Cheer for your teammates if they do something well and help them if they don't understand a drill.
Attitude/Character. Arrive at the rink with a positive attitude. Be supportive of everyone on the ice and in the changeroom. Talk to the coaches and ask questions if you don't understand something.
-Do what you do best. If your a great back checker, back check hard during tryouts. If you have a great shot, shoot hard every chance you get. Everyone does a few things really well. Show us what you can do the best. You never know what the coaches are looking for.

Looking forward to getting the season started!
