Final Thanks!
On behalf of James, Ken, Sarah and Tim, I wanted to say a “final thanks” to everyone for our 2022 / 2023 season.

We appreciated all the ladies’ efforts and hard work throughout the season and have told everyone how much we enjoyed being a part of their last seven plus months. You have a great bunch of daughters, and we feel very fortunate and privileged to have had the opportunity to coach them this season.

Many thanks to Ken for his scheduling efforts, stats tracking and dealings with the OWHA. It is not as simple as it seems, and we all sincerely appreciated the time put in behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly throughout the season.

Was this a perfect season of hockey – not at all. Were there challenges – yes there were. Did we always agree – absolutely not, and that’s what makes each season unique for players, parents and coaching staff. Keep the “good” with you and leave the “bad” behind in the trash (or toilet 😊) where it belongs. Success and personal growth require both but sometimes we hold onto the “bad” for far longer than we should.

While we wished the level of play would have been a little more consistent, we understand that the “buy in” to our “Choices and Options” style of play is challenging. We do hope that you did see the growth and development in your daughters, individually and as part of a team, which we did. We hope they will all continue to make good “Choices and Options” in the years to come. We believe that the ability to do so is an important quality and our wish is for that to stay with all the ladies for the rest of their lives. As we all know, there’s going to be a life after hockey that’s a lot longer than their hockey life.

We are sincerely proud of all your efforts and accomplishments this season ladies. It has been a pleasure. “See you later” 😊
