Winning Culture Playoff Edition...."Pressure = Seize your Opportunity"
After a tough fought loss against Hamilton last night, the Major Bantams look at their biggest game of the season today in PJD Arena.
Today the Jr. Rangers have an opportunity to seize. Each players knows that this is a must needed win and with that mentality the word "pressure" crepts into their heads. But what is pressure? As I listened to Mike Babcock get interviewed today and asked about his worry about goaltender Roberto Luongo, Babcock said he isn't worried at all. When asked why on that, he stated that, "GOOD pro's rise to the occasion because they don't view pressure as a negative thing but as an opportunity to seize." Add then when asked about Martin St. Louis being "bitter" over being snubbed to Team Canada originally, Babcock had this to say, "Marty let that go probably the next day. Guys like him who have battled through adversity their whole careers let things go easily and move on to the next challenge and opportunity. I'm sure like he has done his whole career he will do it again for us in the Olympics." (another reason why I think Mike Babcock is the best coach in hockey).
So today the Major Bantams will have an opportunity to seize and prove why they are a team that believes in a Winning Culture and a team that Hamilton cannot take lightly.
