Guelph Power Play Tournament
Incredible effort by the Minor Atom A Jr. Rangers this past weekend in Guelph...

The Minor Atom A Jr. Rangers played their best hockey of the season this past weekend in Guelph...and the coaches could not be more proud of them!

After finishing the round-robin portion with a 2 win-1 tie-1 loss record, which included a huge win over the undefeated Whitby A team at that time, the boys headed into the semi-finals against Cambridge with energy and confidence on Sunday morning.

With the Kitchener boys leading 2-0 for most of the game and 2-1 late into the 3rd period, the Cambridge squad tied it up with a little over a minute left.

The two teams headed into a 3 on 3 sudden victory overtime which turned into a 3 on 2 as Cambridge was awarded a power play just before the end of regulation time.

Having only 2 players on the ice in an Olympic sized rink was quite challenging, and the Hawks capitalized on the opportunity and booked their spot in the championship game.

We can't say enough about the incredible effort that these boys put forth each and every game...and the class with which they carried themselves both on and off of the ice.

Keep your heads held up high fellas...You made us all so proud!
