Guelph Power Play Champs
The 2003 Rangers find success in Guelph. For some its back to back years holding the cup over our heads. For others its a trophy you dream of as a kid... just a mini version.
The Rangers came out of the tournament with an undefeated record going 4-0-2. The team only surrendered 5 goals in 6 games against a tough draw of teams who did put our goalies to work. The boys also scored 15. But It was there ability to score late in games to either get the tie, put away a team with a two goal lead or tighten up the defence in the third periods that proved to be the winning factor in all our games. The boys ability to switch fore checking systems mid game or the much improved cycle game in the offensive zone was a great sight for the coaching staff and players ... practice makes perfect!
