Rangers Top Wolves
The Kitchener Jr Rangers MD Red team reached double digits in wins in the playoffs with a 6 to 1 win over the Waterloo Wolves Black Friday night.

Jacob Fisher opened the scoring with a goal from Daniel Gubbels and Kailum Belanic. Connor Coughlin put the Rangers up two goals from Nicholas Zammit and Ryan McConnell. Carter Niall had back to back goals with the first from Yianni Peppas and the second on the power play was from Keenan Hack. Aydan Costello had an unassisted power play goal and Logan Hock fired a hard shot from Jacob Reid-Brant and Ethan Lafleur.

Braxton Mathews was stellar for the Rangers and made several key stops when the Wolves were pressing. Mathews had help from the solid play of his defensemen Kodi Blackshaw and Noah Park.

The Rangers need a tie or a lose/tie from the Hawks to clinch first place in the playoffs and worked hard to secure the birth in the playdowns. The Rangers will enjoy the weekend off before returning to practice to prepare for what the coaches expect to be a strong finish.
