Participants will receive a designated ID #. Each participant's designated ID# will remain strictly confidential.

First Tryout - Friday, September 24th:
The first tryout will consist of a skills session including small area games. Registrants have been divided into groups and will undergo the same skills session.
The current City of Kitchener Covid protocols only allow entry into the arena 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the ice time. We will be conducting player sign in outside the main doors of the arena for the first tryout.
We are asking that all players/goalies arrive 45 mins prior to their ice time so that there is enough time to ensure everyone is signed in prior to admission to the arena. This will also ensure all players/goalies have sufficient time to get dressed and ready to go on the ice. Please ensure your participant brings a practice jersey with him for the skills session. A sports bib with a number will be provided during sign in for the player to safety-pin to their jersey.
After the first skills session is complete, all players/goalies will be required to leave the arena within 15 mins of their ice time finishing.

Second Tryout - Saturday, September 25th:
The second tryout will consist of an intrasquad games.  Registrants will be divided into teams. Players will find out which team they are on when arriving at the arena that day.
Covid screening will be completed using the same process as the first tryout. We are asking that all players/goalies arrive at least 45 mins prior to the second tryout in order to conduct all necessary sign in requirements. Sign in will take place outside of the main doors.
After the ice time is complete, all players/goalies will be required to leave the arena within 15 mins of their ice time finishing. Players will be provided with further information after the intrasquad game about next steps in the tryout process.
Covid Screening & Vaccination Requirements:
All players/goalies as well as any parents/guardians attending tryouts will be required to complete a Covid screening form through the Sportsheadz app (the same one that was used last year).  As a reminder, it is mandatory that this screening is completed BEFORE arriving at the arena.
The KMHA office will add all registered participants into the app as well as the parent whose contact information was provided on the tryout registration form. The City of Kitchener has newly implemented further restriction on the number of spectators allowed in the arenas - each participant is allowed to be accompanied by a maximum of 2 guardians (as well as any young siblings). Further, there is a requirement to show Covid-19 vaccination documents upon entry into the arena for participants and spectators (over the age of 12).  Covid screenings are required for all spectators through the SportsHeadz app. If you have any questions, please reach out to the KMHA office or U14 MD coaching staff for assistance.

All the best,
MD Coaching Staff
