The U13 Red Rangers won the championship game over Waterloo #2 1-0 in double overtime on a goal by Aubree Verbaan.
The Red Rangers dominated the Waterloo 2 team for three periods but couldn't put anything by the outstanding play of the Waterloo goalie. In the first overtime, Piper Duquette, Kaydence Weichel and Adrienne Fagel buzzed the Waterloo net for 2 minutes. In the second overtime, Aubree Verbaan and Caitlyn McKenzie continued the pressure until McKenzie got the puck in the corner and found Verbaan alone in the front of the net. Verbaan put it past the Waterloo goalie to clinch the championship.
Ranger goalie Lilly Ascencio was solid in the Ranger net stopping everything that came her way. The championship win was a total team effort by all the players. Other team members include Molly Harris, Sawyer Gosse, Lily Feetham, Livy Pittaway, London Bonham, Sawyer Machan, Claire McNulty, and Olivia Chau.
Tournament game MVPs were: Olivia Chau, Adrienne Fagel, Aubree Verbaan, Lily Feetham, and Caitlyn McKenzie.
