1-0 vs Waterloo Wolves
Our games against Waterloo have been tight affairs for the entire season and Saturday's game was no exception. Over the holidays the flu bug ripped through the team and on Friday it was questionable if we'd be able to ice a team for Saturday's game. 7 players were sick including 3 who were on antibiotics!
Despite being short 2 players and not having the energy we typically display, the boys played very well and moved the puck well. The Wolves had strong defense with 4 or 5 skaters always coming back which often created a virtual wall that was difficult to get shots through. At our end of the ice, Coop played another amazing game making several big saves in the third period to keep the score 0-0. In the dying minutes of the game, as it looked like another tie was unavoidable, Max Miller buried the puck in the Wolves net to give us a 1-0 lead which was the final score.
