Tough Kitchener Defense Opens Scoring 'Lane'
After some well deserved rest, Lady Rangers return home to 'the Garden' and take control.

From the very first drop of the puck it became obvious that these young Kitchener Ladies were determined to be on the puck. So tough was the Kitchener Defense in controling the puck along the boards, that the visiting Wolverine's could not register a shot on net until part way through the second period.

So confident were these Defensive girls in their control of the puck it led to hard offensive breaks by Defenders Ella, Katina, and Hannah. Great forward passing and blocking by Michelle, Amanda, and Natalie who time and time again held the offensive zone blueline pushing the puck back in deep.

Up front was no different with all three forward lines contributing with goals, Brooke and Nicole scoring their firsts as Lady Rangers. Ashley added another marker, and the speedy, yet Tiny Tank Engine Lane put up 3 goals and an assist for her first carrer Hat Trick. Other Assists for the game went to Ashley (2), Madelyne, Izzy, Amanda, Avery, and Ayrial.

An Offense that saw 9 different players on the score sheet coupled with a Defense that allowed on 2 total shots on net can be a very dangerous rival for the rest of the league. If the Ladies can stay as focused and determined as well and confident and comfortable as they appeared on this Wednesday Night, there is no telling what as a Team they can achieve together.

Final score Rangers 6, Wolverines 1. Next game Saturday 11:00 am at Home against Cambridge.
