Coach Scott Displays New Look Ladies Before The Second Crack of Thunder
Two days before the welcoming of teams from throughout Ontario, Coach Scott mixes things up to keep the Rangers on their toes.

November 12th marks the puck drop on another of the Lady Ranger's annual Fall Fest Tournament. The home town girls had just three days earlier seen their undefeated season tarnished with a heart breaking unispired skate on the road in Cambridge. The high flying Roadrunners were able to create quick break after quick break sneaking two goals past Goaltender Eden who had stopped an additional 18 shots.

With a 5 - 0 win over Wilmot the day before, the Novice team seemed to lag slightly, struggling to keep up with some of Cambridge's toughest skaters. Could it be the girls were tired from an afternoon of Team Meetings and exercise at a local Kitchener Hotel, or had they just become Complacent? There was no time for these questions to be asked or answered, Coach Scott and his staff jumped in and mixed things up. All forward lines were shifted and retooled creating some excellent results.

Each and every line worked harder and faster, digging deep and looking out for each other. Passing was crisp and complete, the front of the Guelph net was consistantly filled with white jerseys. The defense holding the line and working the puck back and forth with precision. But the Thunder played hard and after being down 2-0 and 3-2, tied things up in the third period, but with only a couple of minutes left Ashley skated hard and netted an unassisted goal to win the game and send these Ladies into the weekend tournament with that winning feeling.

As all of the coaching staff slipped out of the Activa Sportsplex without meeting reporters, and all calls to their offices going unanswered leading up to publication no comment has been made as to the reason for changes and what changes are ahead for the weekend.  One thing is for sure, Coach Scott is working hard to keep the girls inspired and on their toes. Determination wins games, Complacency ....... not so much.
