Coaches Corner:
The Big Game fro the Aces at the Aud. 3 TO 2 WIN!!!
The boys looked absolutely great!!!
They started off a little slow, due to all the limelight, lights, the music and the commentary. After 3 minutes the visitors scored after Hache made 2 amazing stops in a row. Down 0-1 after the 1st. Boys got in there groove as Lucas scored 2 goals back to back , First goal assisted by Mac and Maddox (WHO BOTH LITERALLY SKATED CIRCLES AROUND THE OTHER TEAM), and second by HARD WORKING DEFENSE MAN Tyler. Ollie came into the game half way through the second, and as usually a typical Ollie style stopping pucks and clearing his crease. No rebounds. Johnny scored our third goal while on his back, it looked like he was making snow angels from my vantage point. Great second effort.
We had 2 players of the game today:
LUCAS "in the right place at the right time" WITTAL for popping 2 goals and one going in the top shelf where they store the peanut butter.
and
TYLER "Hardest working man on the ice" TOMAS for making the nicest pass in the game for a goal and playing his position clearing pucks out of our end.
In player interviews after the game the boys were asked how they felt out there?
Answers : Ty - " I just had to play hard and give it my best and have fun"
Lucas - " It was so much fun and it was the best "
I do think I heard them say how much they love their parents and brothers and sisters and their coach is the greatest, but I could be wrong.
An interesting note the coaches found at the team dinner. ( The boys were respectful to the other team and cheered them on as they came to dinner). We have a fantastic dancer on our team. After dinner our man Jacob "freight train " Schmidtty started to "cut some rug" in front of the other team.
We may have acquired a new name of Jacob "Twinkle Toes " Schmiddty....
