Coaches Corner
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year to all our Great White families!!! Hopefully this will truly be a "White" Christmas! What would be more fitting than to do well in the Jason Cripps' tournament? Players are settling into their positions well and their awareness on the ice is growing. We've had plenty of ice time so far this season, thanks to KMHA, and thanks to the Kitchener Rangers we had an awesome experience at the Hockey Day in Rangers Nation.
For the remainder of the season we can look forward to:
* Jason Cripps tournament (Dec 27-30),
* additional practice ice (Jan 10),
* Cambridge Black Hawks exhibition game (Jan 12),
* Oakridge Aeros House League Tournament in London (Feb 14-16),
* KMHA year-end tournament (in March)
We are hoping to get another exhibition game in against the Cambridge Black Hawks as well but that will be determined by schedules and ice availability. Hopefully everyone is having fun so far this season.
Remember to practice your stick handling,shooting and passing when you can. Take advantage of some FREE skates over the holidays at various city rinks thanks to Tim Hortons or visit the City Hall outdoor rink or Waterloo Town Square. If the weather cooperates there may be some outdoor community rinks ready too.
I'd like to send out a special thanks to our assistant coaches and all of the parent volunteers on our team that have helped out on the ice, with our team budget, hotel accommodations, website, player name cards, etc. Your help and dedication is much appreciated!!!.
