Kitchener Atomc Black topped Waterloo Atomc Orange 7-0 to open the tournament on a high note.
Braydon Houlihan led the way with a hat trick. Kodi Blackshaw had a pair and both Brett Herniman and Will Halter scored for Black. Zackary Raines, Ryan Roth, Brody Voll and Dezi Deneau had assists in the game.
Aiden Radatus posted back to back shutouts against Waterloo. It was his 7th of the season.
Tomorrow morning Black will play the Burlington Flames who also won today. Both teams were not scored against in the first game and the winner would take a first place lead in the division.
