KMHA's New Development Coordinator!

KMHA is excited to announce Dean DeSilva as our new Development Coordinator!

Dean brings with him an amazing wealth of hockey knowledge and experience that will help KMHA offer exciting new development opportunities throughout our organization.  From our grass roots House League and Local League programs right up through to our AAA Boys and AA Girls programming, we will have an enhanced focus on continuing to help our players grow and excel through continued development.

Dean has played Junior B with the Waterloo Siskins, winning both Cherry and Sutherland Cups; he coached in the GOJHL for 8 years, five as the head coach and had 30 players obtain NCAA scholarships during his time there.

Dean coached our Minor Midget AAA program for seven years, went to five OHL cup seasons, and
 has had over 25 players drafted to the OHL.  KMHA’s program has had more players go directly from Minor Midget to a junior program, skipping their midget hockey year, than any other program within the Alliance, something to be proud of.

Dean has been part of Hockey Canada’s program of excellence, coaching Team Alliance for 4 years, and been to Finland and Norway with  Team Canada’s youth Hockey teams. In the 2019-20 season, he was an assistant coach with the Vancouver Giants of the Western Hockey League.
