U11BB Red - Gold in London
This past weekend, the U11BB Red team headed to London for the Doug Jarrett Memorial Tournament.
From the first puck drop, the team set the tone. Focused, disciplined, and playing for each other, they powered through the round robin with a perfect 4–0 record, finishing first in their pool. Every line contributed, the defense held strong, and the goaltending was rock solid.
Earning the top seed set up a semifinal matchup against the #2 seeded West Coast Whitecaps. The boys were dialed in. The result? A commanding 7–0 victory. It was a full team effort from start to finish. That win punched their ticket to the finals against the Elgin Thames 73’s.
The boys battled for every puck, won the small battles along the boards, and stayed disciplined under pressure. With grit, determination, and relentless hard work, they took control of the game and never looked back. When the final buzzer sounded, the scoreboard read 5–0.
Gold medals. Tournament champions.
This weekend was about more than wins and shutouts — it was about character. It was about competing the right way, trusting one another, and rising to the moment. The boys represented their team, families, KMHA, and community with pride.
An unforgettable weekend in London — and a gold medal championship.🥇
