Laser testing, set-up, troubleshooting, conveying of results

Term of Service: (State length of time required: i.e. 4-hour shift, September to April, September to January, etc.)

Annual On-Ice Testing for all rep boys’ and girls’ teams (March break 40 hours during the day)

On-Ice testing for teams throughout the season (girls rep teams as requested, boy U15-U18 AAA only if requested)

Role Description: (Provide a description of the role, including key accountabilities)

Key Responsibilities

· laser testing, set up and troubleshooting

· conveying test results to recorder for logging

· utilizing stopwatch accurately for endurance tests

· explanation of drills (purpose, what mimics, game application)

· demonstration of drills (specifics of player set up - i.e. distance from laser, starting from stopped position, actually reaching / stopping at transition points) to ensure consistency in measuring/evaluating results.

 

Required Skills:

· Better than average to strong skating and communication skills required for explanation and demonstration of drills for consistency; organized, calm under stress.

· Must be comfortable on skates and on the ice and will be required to wear a helmet.
