Pre-Tryout/Evaluation Information
- Prep Sessions are now OPEN for registration. Please visit here for Prep Session Information and Registration.
- Goalie Sessions, offered to 2024/25 KMHA registrants free of cost, are now OPEN for registration in Spordle. Please Register here.
- Body Checking Sessions are OPEN for registration in Spordle free of cost. These should be taken by participants planning to tryout for U14 AA/A and AAA teams, if you didn't take them with your U13 teams (or older if you have not already completed one in the past). Your player will only attend one of the 3 offered sessions.
Tryout/Evaluation Information
U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16, and U18 JR Ranger tryouts at the AAA, AA/A and BB/B happen this Spring. U8, U9 will be held in the fall. Select Tryouts (an extension to our Recreational/House League hockey program), happen in the Fall at all age levels.
We are able to open up JR Ranger Tryout Registration on April 2nd, 2025, per OHF policy.

The Ontario Hockey Federation, our governing body for Alliance/JR Ranger hockey, has changed the structure and major rules surrounding player movement, team tryouts and evaluations. Please read the OHF page and FAQ to understand these changes.

U10, U11, U12 & U13:
AAA: April 19 – April 25 (7 days)
AA: April 26 – May 2 (7 days)
A & Below: May 3 – May 9 (7 days)
U14, U15, U16 & U18:
AAA: April 21 – April 27 (7 days)
AA: April 28 – May 4 (7 days)
A & Below: May 5 – May 11 (7 days)

Tryout/Evaluation Information
OWHA (Lady Ranger) Evaluations/Tryouts are NOW OPEN in RAMP.
Schedules for the OWHA Evaluations and Tryouts are found here.
U11, U13, U15 and U18 OWHA Rep tryouts happen this Spring. U8, U9 & U22 and any 4th Rep teams (if applicable) are held in the Fall. DS tryouts, an extension to the Local League program, happen in the Fall.
Per OWHA policy, tryouts may be run from Monday April 21st to May 31st.
Evaluation Sessions for 24/25 KMHA-only registrants, looking to be evaluated for the U13, U15 or U18 AA teams will be held starting the week of April 14th.
For KMHA-Registrants who are Lady Rangers currently, and are wishing to skate for another centre , please fill out a Lady Rangers Permission to Skate form and email to Scott Snider.
For KMHA-Registrants who are Lady Rangers currently, and are requesting a release please fill out a Lady Ranger Request for Release form and email to Pat Zister.
For NON-KMHA Registrants who are looking to tryout for a Lady Rangers Rep Team this Spring, please fill out a Hockey History Form and email to Pat Zister.
