Both programs are daily skates, offered for a full week, which will focus on developing good habits and skills to take your player to the next level.

Our remaining July Skills sessions are designed for those currently playing at the AAA/AA/A levels only. We have built our AAA/AA programming around high performance training with specific focuses on puck protection/control, creativity, small area games and high paced drills with direct exposure to game specific transferring and situations. Our skills instructors bring 35+ years of high level rep specific skill experience, with current standing in AAA and the junior levels.

Dave Clipper is entering his 15th year with KMHA, and his second year as KMHA's Technical Director. He has coached Minor Midget AAA, Midget AAA and a Variety of other teams at the minor level. Dave is currently coaching the Ayr Centennials Junior B Hockey Club. He has coached Junior B the last 11 years. Dave is Hockey Canada High Performance 1 (HP1) Certified, an HP1 Coach Mentor, and an HP1 Coach Evaluator. Dave is HP2 Certified and Trained. He also runs our Learn to Hockey Skate and Ranger Rookies programs. Dave has run numerous camps over the past 15 years.

Dave Horne is entering his 5th season with our Kitchener AAA program. Certified as an HP1 level coach, Dave is currently an Assistant Coach with the U18 (2008-2009) Kitchener Jr Rangers AAA team. Prior to his experience with U18 AAA, Dave worked with the 2010 AAA's for three seasons from U13-U15 as their Head Coach. Dave and his staff helped guide the 2009 Kitchener Jr Rangers to a birth in the U13 AAA Alliance Championship tournament during the 2021-2022 season. Prior to his time with AAA, Dave has worked with KMHA in numerous coaching capacities with various age groups starting with the 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2007 birth years. Horne has also worked as a camp coach with the U15 Program of Excellence Camp with the OHF since 2019. Dave's focus is on the defensive side and works with players and teams on defensive specific skill acquisition throughout the year. He has been a member of our Summer Skills staff for a number of years and is excited to host players and families again this summer.
