Semi Final finish at London Bandit Tournament
Gladiators amazing tournament at the London Bandits Tournament.
Our team had a great showing at the London Bandits Tournament this last weekend. After battling hard through the round robin the team had an amazing quarter final against the Burlington Flames where they won 2 to 1 in a hard fought game.
The team then had to face a very strong Sarnia Challenger team who had won every game in the tournament by at least 4 goals. The boys were down 3 to 0 at the beginning of the second period, but showed incredible resiliency by battling all the way back to make it 3 to 3 and sending the game to overtime. With 1:17 left in the first overtime Sarnia scored, and they ended winning the tournament 4 to 1 in the final.
The offence was led by Evan Collins with 6 goals and 4 assist. The defence was the strong part of the team with everyone on the team commiting to defence during the entire tournament. Both of our goalies had amazing games getting chances to play complete games during this tournament.
Great work by all the boys. This was an amazing team building time, and the coaching staff was very proud of everyone.
