Don't take your foot off the gas!
All right guys...seven wins in a row! I wasn't at the game, but got the play by play 140 characters at a time, and here's what I heard...
- Strong backchecking is limiting the other team's chances to score. The Wolves got 3 on us today, but it could have been alot more if we weren't hustling back to the puck as fast as we currently are. Josh B had a strong game on D today, as well as the rest of the Generals defense.
- Passing, passing and more passing - the Generals are setting each other up to score and move the puck up the ice. Four different Generals scored today. The team isn't as bunched up as it used to be - we're playing much more open and able to accept the passes.
- Communication on the ice - needs room for improvement - lets talk to each other on the ice!
- Don't take your foot off the gas - we let up the pressure at the end of the game, giving the Wolves a third goal and a chance to tie it up. Never stop until the final buzzer!
- Keep your stick on the ice - We missed a scoring opportunity today when a stick wasn't on the ice to receive the pass. Dylan also scored a beautiful one-timer because his stick was on the ice and ready for the pass.
The 4 and 3 on the dice symbolize the 4 -3 win today, as well as our 7 game winning streak. Keep it up guys...what exciting hockey!
