Bombers Open the Season with a Close One!
In the season opener, the Bombers came out strong. They finished the first period with a 2-0 lead. In the second, their opponent came on strong and lead 3-2 by the end of the second. With some strong back checking and a never-say-die attitude the boys fought hard to the bitter end by scoring with 1 second left to go in the game.
Unfortunately, they came out on the losing end by a score of 5-4.
"It was a good start … a good first period," Josh Robinson said. "We were able to get a couple early. We had a lot of good chances."
It was an impressive start to the season. "It was a close game, and I think we showed great character coming back from two goals down, we really worked hard," coach Robinson said. "I think we played a heck of a game. We could have won the game just as well."
