Mustangs, Major Midget House League, 2010-2011 (Kitchener Minor Hockey)

I want to make a special anouncement about some other fantastic results this weekend. 1st - Kyle our capitan and goalie won the Norwalk tournament with Huron Heights. Dad/trainer/dreamhome winner said "Kyle was nothing short of amazing". 2nd - Steven "Ogolthorp" (#7) traveled to Montreal with St. Mary's where they also won their tournament. 3rd - Jake (#4) and Cameron (#12) with their team from Grand River traveled to St. Catharine's for a tournament and ended up victorious there by beating last years OFSSA champions.Well done gentlemen!!! What a great come back the Mustangs staged Sunday night. Missing 3 players and down 4-1 in the 2nd, the boys held their composure and with 58 seconds remaining Spencer #2 netted the tieing goal. This puts us in 2nd place behind the Rams because of the goals for against rule. Not to worry we will take them in the Cripps tournament. Schedule is posted.

Another exciting win for the Mustangs thanks to a strong 3rd period. With Alex's 4 point effert (1G 3A) he passed the 20 point mark and now leads the team with 22 points (11 &11) Best of all was the teams use of the point on this evening and setting up a pair of defencemen with 3 assists. A great game played this past Sunday night to take first place. Our defence did a great job moving the puck up to the forwards, and we moved the puck passing to all our players. Great to see we had 5 different scorers get on sheet this week while Cameron is breaking in some new skates all our boys are stepping it up. Special metion has to go to #14 Ty.
