No more of this "nice" business....

It's time to dig in our heels and fight for our survival. I have watched almost all 22 games this season and I have seen some amazing games and some lacklustre events. As Coach Mike says.."100% effort, 100% of the time" will be what we need to survive in the post season. For those who haven't been watching the stats, we finished the regular season with 6 wins, 7 losses and 9 ties. A total of 21 points on the season with a total of 198 penalty minutes. We finished in 5th place out of 8 teams. Now is our time to shine. We face Guelph in Round 1 of the playoffs with our first game February 3rd ...

Send out 2014 with a couple Wins!
Submitted

Nothing like some wins to kiss 2014 goodbye! After an epic tying streak and scoring drought, the girls pulled out 2 big wins, scored some goals and went a whole 32 mins taking only 1 penalty. It's a Christmas Miracle. We are ending 2014 in 4th place with our sights set higher with 5 games left in the regular season. We're hoping for a healthy and succesful 2015 for a team that has come together beautifully if I do say so myself. I want to take a minute to wish all the girls and their families a VERY Merry Christmas. I can't wait to see what the New Year brings for this awesome team!!

It's All About the Hockey...

I don't know about you but I LOVE this time of year. Hockey is busy, Christmas is coming and the girls seem to be looking better every game (most of the time). It is a busy week coming up in Lady Ranger land! The girls broke their tie strike yesterday and unfortantely it wasn't a W but they definitely held their own against a very fast and very talented Ayr team. Dryland, practice and FIVE games before Sunday will make for a hectic week but hopefully one filled with some great hockey and some checkmarks in that W column. We have some shopping coming up for our Christmas for Charity event ...

Playing for Keeps

The pre-season has come to an end and the girls finished on a high note with a victory over Cambridge at Grand River last night. Remember the goal doesn't have to be pretty to count :) The girls battled hard in the pre-season and seem to be communicating well and look a little more polished on the ice. Hard work and determination is what they will need as they open their Regular Season vs. the Norfolk Hericanes on Sunday at 3:30 at Grand River. I have no doubt that these ladies have an abdundance of talent and grit that they can't wait to show the Bantam BB division. Hold on to your seats ...

Fiesty Start at the Fall Classic
Submitted
By Steve Robinson on Sep 22, 2014 (711 views)
The Bantam BB showed some grit this weekend while battling a 16 team talent pool at the Oshawa Fall Classic. The girls came away with 2 ties a win and a loss and showed signs of greatness being so early in the season. It was great to see the girls come together as a team and share some changeroom giggles. What happens in the changeroom..... We get ready to face Cambridge on Tuesday and I'm sure the girls can't wait to get back on the ice! Lori
