2015 Guelph Winter Classic Atom A Champions
Congratulations to the Kitchener Lady Rangers Atom A team on their tournament win this weekend.
In the first game of the tournament the Lady Rangers recorded a 5 to 1 win over the Cambridge Roadrunners.
Game 2 saw the girls win 5 to 2 over the Guelph Gryphons.
In Game 3 the Lady Rangers shut out the Brampton Canadettes.
After round robin play the Lady Rangers were the #1 seed going into the semi-finals against Brampton. The Lady Rangers came out on top with a 4 to 1 win.
In the finals the Lady Rangers were up against the Cambridge Roadrunners. After 3 periods of play the game was deadlocked at 1 to 1. The score remained tied after the first period of overtime. Just after 2 minutes into the second overtime period playing 3 on 3 the Lady Rangers put one in the net for the victory. It was a well played and exciting final game played by both teams.
