Huskies, HL-MPW, 2017-2018 (Kitchener Minor Hockey)

The Huskies may not be playing in the finals but should be pleased on how far they've come. The Huskies should remember where they were at in evaluations to where they finished the season. Some may have improved in skating , shooting , passing and some it was game IQ or play. In all it was a great season. Were planning our awards night and are looking at Sat March 31 if it'll work for most of the Huskies. If everyone could email or text if that date works or not so we can finish off the plans and the accounting for the team account. 

Congratulations Huskies on finishing 2nd in the regular season. If todays exhibition game was any indication of whats to come in the finals its going to be exciting. Austin Miller with 2 Goals in the game. I guess he's been saving everything for the end of the season. Hopefully he continues finding the back of the net in the playoffs. Our first playoff game is Wednesday March 21 @ 6:15. With the year coming to an end were looking to have our award night soon. An email will follow to survey when this can be done with all or most of the team.

Congratulations Huskies. Led by Captain Tarun Talwar, Assistant Captains Thai Proulx and Carter Deveau. If the Huskies play as team in the playoffs like they did today they have a good chance at advancing further into the tournament. The Huskies were passing, back checking and playing more like a team. Only allowing 18 shots shows the Huskies shut down the opposition before they got into a good scoring area. We still need to work on the dump and chase, the dump and change but in all the Huskies played great. 

Due to unforeseen circumstances we had to cancel G&G on Friday but have replaced it with a practice at Activa 7:45pm on Friday.  

The Huskies signed the card for JT today after the game. I would like to thank all the parents who made a donation to help out JT's family. I hope the Hockey book, stickers and card take his mind off of his battles if but for a moment and let him be just a kid.
