Organization - KMHA Lady Ranger needs help!
Submitted By Rolland Cyr on Friday, November 6, 2020
Jessie Gross is like every other Lady Ranger. She loves her Hockey, her team mates and her family. For years she played the game we all love until her health took a turn. Wanting to battle with courage like Hockey has taught her she soldiered on like the warrior she is; but now she needs your help. Jessie needs a living Kidney transplant. We would ask that you read this note put together by her family and consider helping a member of our Hockey family that needs it.

This is our daughter, Jessica. She’s 15 years old. On August 25, 2019, she was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease. Because her kidney function was at 5%, she started emergency dialysis the next day. We are still searching for the cause.  She has been on dialysis for 14 months and has many medications to keep her healthy.  We’ve had obstacles along the way, but Jessie has stayed courageous and strong through all the ups and downs. She is our warrior. This journey has tested our limits of human strength and courage.  It has tested our mental, physical, and emotional endurance. Dialysis is not a way of life. She is hooked up to a machine 12 hours each night, which keeps her alive.

Transplant is not a cure but is the best treatment.  We are searching for a living donor as this will be her best chance for a long, successful life.  She has a lot of living left to do.

Please help give Jessica another chance at a healthy life and consider giving the gift of life if you are:

-          18-55 years old

-          Have no other underlying conditions (hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, kidney stones. Etc)

-          Blood Type B+/-  or  O+/-

This link explains the steps, and everything needed:
