name is Daryll Smith and I am the head coach for the 2022 / 2023 Kitchener Lady
Rangers U18 A team.
On behalf of all the U18 A staff, I wanted to provide you with some Spring tryout information. We are a full “non-parent” coaching staff including a full-time goalie coach. We work closely with our U18 AA team with the goal of moving those players who wish to AA hockey.
At this time, we understand that individual Association internal evaluations (for us any player who is currently playing Kitchener Minor Hockey) will begin the week of April 11th while OWHA tryouts for the 2022 / 2023 hockey season will start on Monday April 18th.
As a reminder, any player currently registered in another Association will require a properly signed Permission to tryout (Permission to Skate) prior to coming to our tryouts.
Currently, because of several players aging out at the U18 level and several others moving onto U18 “AA” hockey, we have vacancies at all positions for those wishing to play U18 “A” hockey next season. If you are interested, we would like to hear from you and in return would be happy to send out some further information regarding our projected in-season plan including tournaments, off ice training and testing, on ice testing, proposed budget etc.
