Update to Rules for Cripps Girls Games
Maximum Goal Differential
The rule currently states “All goals scored will count in factoring final standings for determining teams that advance for all divisions above Novice.” This applies to KMHA Boys teams only.

How it should read for all girls teams is this, “There will be a 5-goal maximum goal differential.  For example a 10-1 score in round robin will become a 6-1 score when calculating the percentage for tie-breaking.”  This is the same format that we use for our regular season league play and does not change for the Cripps tournament.

Cancellations Due to Weather

Games will only be cancelled due to weather if the City of Kitchener chooses to close the arena(s).  In the event that a team chooses to not travel to play their game, the game will be forfeited and the score of the game will be 1 – 0 for the other team as games cannot be rescheduled.  If both teams choose to not travel, the game is also forfeited and the score will be 0 – 0. That being said, please use your best judgment when determining whether or not your team should travel to a game.

If a team chooses or is unable to play their game, they must contact the Tournament Chair, Lisa Frank by phone: (519) 897-8561 or by email: [email protected]
or the Tournament Co-ordinator, Tawn Robinson by phone: (519) 572-1734 or by email: [email protected]

Game Length
All Girls games are 10-10-12 stop time. Buzzers are not used for Girls Novice games.

Timeouts
One 30-second timeout will be allowed during semi-final and final games. This can be used in regular play or overtime play, but may be used only once.
