The Ice Pirates provide children from ages 6 to 25 with developmental disabilities the opportunity to participate on a hockey team that they may not normally have the chance to be on.

Players on the Kitchener Ice Pirates retain a sense of self-worth and a new sense of family.  They will gain a sense of fair play, friendship and overall accomplishments in the area of fine motor skills as well as, increased self-esteem and life long memories. 

Registration for the 2011-2012 season is now available online - The fee for the season will be $270.00.

Toyota also sponsors the Toyota Challenge featuring teams from the region in competition and the opportunity to travel to Japan. The Toyota Hockey Challenge consists of round robin competition amongst top Kitchener, Waterloo & Cambridge teams, with the top two teams then competing in a one-game show down that will determine the team to represent the Tri-Cities in a once-in-a-lifetime cultural exchange to Japan. The team that wins the Toyota Hockey Challenge will travel to Hokkaido, Japan during March Break for a cultural exchange with the Tomakomai Allstars, all expenses paid by TMMC. Thanks Toyota!
