Join KRJU13BBRed and Blue to "Drop the Gloves"
This Friday, Kitchener Jr Rangers U13 BB Red is excited to team up with the KJR U13 BB Blue team to support the Hockey Helps the Homeless - Drop the Gloves campaign to support local individuals navigating homelessness in Waterloo Region. Join us for some great hockey at the Activa Sportsplex in Kitchener and bring along your donations of cash or new adult-sized warm waterproof gloves. Puck drops at 7pm.

 



We will be set up in the lobby ahead of the game with Larry Lynch from Hockey Helps the Homeless to receive your generous donations and answer any questions you have.

The Timbits Minor Sports Program is a community-oriented sponsorship program for children four to eight years old who participate in local house league sports teams. The program's philosophy is not based on winning or losing - but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just taking time out to be a kid. Tim Hortons currently sponsors over 200,000 children who play on hockey, soccer, lacrosse, t-ball, baseball and ringette teams across Canada and in the United States. Each sponsored team is supplied with Timbits Minor Sports jerseys or T-shirts. Timbits hockey teams are often given the opportunity to play on-ice scrimmages during intermissions at Junior, American Hockey League (AHL) and National Hockey League (NHL) games and do so with our own KITCHENER JR. A RANGERS. Tim Horton's once again sponsor's our 40 entry level HL teams this year.
Sun Life Kids In Gear
Donna's Kids is pleased to partner again for 2019/2020 season with Sun Life and their Kids In Gear program. Kitchener Minor Hockey Association, as part of their mandate, provides financial support for children in this community who, without our assistance, would not be afforded the opportunity to participate in organized hockey in the City of Kitchener. Monies for this cause have been donated by various individuals and organizations over the years, however with increasing demands we have the need to provide further support for this program. One hundred per cent of the funds raised by KIDS IN GEAR are channelled directly to purchase equipment for children.
